Armon J. Tamatea (PhD) is a clinical psychologist and senior lecturer in psychology at the University of Waikato. He was previous to this a senior research advisor for the Department of Corrections and has worked extensively in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of violent, sexual and high-risk psychopathic offenders. His current research interests include psychopathy, gang communities, criminal justice and indigenous peoples, and institutional violence in prisons.
